The Black Mesa Coal Slurry Pipeline
The pipeline system origin is the Slurry Preparation Plant located near the Black Mesa Mine. The coal company delivers dry coal in 2-inch (50 mm) particles by belt conveyor into Black Mesa Pipeline Company's coal storage bins. Fresh water, from deep wells in the area, is also supplied by the mine operator.
