Black Mesa's technical experts have extensive experience from leading engineering and operating companies in the pipeline industry.  They have performed engineering on a variety of worldwide slurry pipeline projects, involving slurries used to transport coal, limestone, phosphate, metallic ores and concentrates (iron, copper, and nickel), mine tailings and other materials.  The principal engineers for Black Mesa are listed below.

Paul Pertuit - System Engineer for the Black Mesa Coal Slurry Pipeline, Mr. Pertuit has 30 years experience in slurry pipeline design, fluids research, and laboratory testing, and pipeline operations.

Glenn Cunningham - Mr. Cunningham has over 35 years of experience in pipeline engineering and research, including pipeline hydraulic design and fluids testing and analysis, both in the laboratory and the field.

Paul Perisho - Mr. Perisho has 32 years of experience in project engineering and management of worldwide pipeline applications, on projects ranging from prefeasiblity studies to construction and start-up.

Ralph Buckwalter - Mr. Buckwalter has more than 40 years of engineering design, construction, and start-up experience on projects in mining and metallurgy, pipelines, and fossil power generation.
